aixigo wins German Innovation Award 2019

Aachen/Berlin, May 2019 – aixigo, the international software provider for digital financial Wealth Management and Advisory solutions, has won the German Innovation Award 2019 in the category "Winner Excellence in Business to Business | Information Technologies | Industry Specific and Service Softwares" with its world's fastest API-based technology platform for wealth management and investment consulting. The platform, which is equipped with more than 100 digital services and can be further scaled, convinced the jury and won aixigo the prestigious award.

With the German Innovation Award, the German Design Council has established a prize that honours the best and most effective innovations: Solutions, detail innovations and services with real added value for the user. The German Innovation Award 2019 is presented in two competition categories. In the competition classes "Excellence in Business to Consumer" and "Excellence in Business to Business".

The German Innovation Award is presented by the German Design Council to forward-looking innovations that have a lasting effect and offer users added value. There were a total of 695 international entries, including entries from industry giants such as Samsung, Bosch, Deutsche Telekom and the Swiss ABB Group, as well as from hidden champions and start-ups.

"The evaluation of the submitted innovations focuses on user centricity. It is the distinguishing feature of the German Innovation Award," explains Andrej Kupetz, CEO of the German Design Council. "This is particularly successful if future users are involved in product and design development at an early stage. Many companies have recognised this and rely on appropriate methods in order to develop an optimal product."

How it was rated

The evaluation criteria of the German Innovation Award include features such as innovation level, user benefit and cost-effectiveness. The innovation strategy should consider aspects such as social, ecological, economic sustainability and the use of energy and resources. Factors such as location and employment potential, longevity, market maturity, technical quality and function, materiality and synergy effects also play a decisive role in the judging process. The winners were chosen by a top-class jury consisting of physicists, patent consultants, computer scientists, financing specialists, product designers, technology historians and marketers. "We thus guarantee an individual, neutral and professional evaluation," emphasises Kupetz.
